These students came from all over the world and had urgent needs like the first-century church.
The first minister and ordained preacher of the church took office in 2002. The minister, together with the then leadership, then conceptualized it and named it “The Jerusalem Concept,” using benevolence and unflinching care with the utmost love for one another to conscientize and orient the members, who in no time bought into it. We say to the glorification of the Lord that this ideology has grown beyond our imagination with the guidance and direction of God, with the Church of Christ, Legon, known among the leading benevolent churches in Ghana. Given that the art of giving is accompanied by a corresponding blessing, the church can confidently assert that it has received blessings beyond our comprehension and continues to flourish. Our vision as a church was then fashioned along this ideology, which automatically informed our vision, mission, and core values, as well as our philosophy and culture. This approach changed members’ way of giving (offertory) as the church was always at the forefront of solving various concerns and needs of brethren.[/vc_column_text][vc_tta_tabs][vc_tta_section title=”Vision” tab_id=”1765817785626-2d28d748-9178″][vc_column_text css=””]To become the leading benevolent church in the Greater Accra Region and beyond, modeling the first-century Jerusalem church.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Mission” tab_id=”1765817785634-34ba84a8-21d0″][vc_column_text css=””]The Church of Christ, Legon, exists to create the necessary and enabling environment for prospective Christians who are desirous to worship God in Truth and Spirit and are at all times determined to pursue sound biblical truth through sound teachings and specially designed life-modeling topics to equip them for better Christian living.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Core Values” tab_id=”1765817789347-1dcc1ed2-4e80″][vc_column_text css=””]A committed and dedicated leadership

Free-willed and dedicated members

Love for one another through benevolence

Sound and Christ-centered biblical teachings

Strong bond and deep affection for one another through fellowship[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Philosophy and Culture” tab_id=”1765817893345-a59781db-36f8″][vc_column_text css=””]

Speak where the Bible speaks, upholding scriptural authority in all matters.

Demonstrate a strong affinity and care for the aged.

Remain determined and committed to worshipping God in truth and in spirit at all times.

Extend a warm and gracious welcome to all visitors.

Build and sustain a happy, peaceful, and joyful family environment at all times.

Train and develop leaders and teachers to advance Christ’s mission wherever they may be.

Equip the saints with sound doctrine and Christ-centered teachings to firmly ground them in the faith.

Utilize modern technological resources to meet the expectations and social needs of the brethren.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Our Conviction” tab_id=”1765826895786-ae0d3d36-782b”][vc_column_text css=””]Reasoning with our Brother John who visited the Patmos Island and had a revelation endorsing Sunday as the Lord’s Day resolved to begin our day with the Lord before attending to our Individual, family and Social Needs.
